Wedding Singer Yorkshire
Lisa & Josh booked me for their woodland wedding at Camp Katur, North Yorkshire in August 2017. Planning their UK wedding from Australia, They were looking for a Wedding Singer in Yorkshire who could provide a full day wedding package including DJ’ing, taking the stress away of booking additional wedding suppliers. They came across my services as I’m a featured supplier on the Boho Weddings blog, and they thought I would fit right into their outdoorsy rustic style wedding.
Camp Katur is an alternative wedding venue situated on the Camp Hill Estate in Bedale, North Yorkshire. Set within 250 acres of woodland, greenland and meadowland which boasts a magical Woodland ceremony area and rustic barn.
Woodland Wedding Ceremony
The day started with the woodland ceremony set amongst tall pine trees it was the perfect setting for Lisa & Josh’s bohemian style ceremony. Lisa arrived in a VW camper van and proceeded to walk down the woodland aisle which was decorated with Persian rugs, dream catchers and beautiful wild flowers by Forge Events. A nice personal touch was for Lisa’s bridesmaid Emer to accompany me, as we performed Eva Cassidy’ Songbird as a surprise for Lisa as she walked down the aisle.
The ceremony was conducted beautifully by Jan from Celebration Ceremonies and Weddings who was also the wedding co-ordinator for the day.

After the ceremony, guests walked over into the meadow which had a tipi and drinks for the guests to relax in the sun listening to my acoustic set.
Afternoon Tea & Dancing in the barn
Guests then walked upto the the barn for afternoon tea. The rustic barn features thick oak beams, exposed brick work, and large slatted barn doors which let it lots of natural light. After eating everyone enjoyed drinks and games on the lawn, as I played another acoustic set.
The evening kicked off with the first dance ‘One love’ by Bob Marley which I performed. Then going straight into an upbeat acoustic set to get everybody on the dancefloor. I also provided my Wedding DJ service which kept everyone on the dancefloor until the end of the night when guests enjoyed sparklers

“AMAZING!!! One of the best choices we made for our wedding day!!! We live in Australia got married on the 10th Aug 17 in the UK at Camp Katur.
I found Michael through a blog, watched a couple of videos on YouTube and booked him!!! Literally that simple and never looked back. Our day had lots of different settings; from woodland ceremony, meadow drinks and barn reception, nothing was too much trouble for Michael. He was a dream to have on the day and our guests loved him.
Our friend sang our entrance song and Michael accompanied on acoustic guitar. The song was a surprise for us and Michael took it upon himself to organise all the details and rehearsals with our friend. Michael also played 2 songs at the ceremony and it was just perfect. He also sang at the meadow which set the mood perfectly as well as outside the barn, inside the barn and did a DJ set. Honestly this man was just a star!!!!
He organised himself without ever seeing the venue and only email contact. All of our guests were totally blown away by his singing and song choices!! It was just magical and we could not of asked for more. The most memorable moment for me was Michael singing Bob Marley- One Love for our first dance it makes me emotional to just think about it!!
So thank you Michael, you made our dreams come true and above everything you are just a really top guy!!
If you are thinking of booking Michael my advise would be DO IT!!”
